Two Left Feet, LLC Ballroom Dance Instruction

I fell in love with modern dance and knew that dancing was what I was meant to do. I gave up my scholarship in music, moved three states away from home, and began my journey towards earning my Bachelors in Dance Performance at Winthrop University. During this time I both found and fell in love with ballroom dancing.

During my free time, I was looking for a dance studio where I could continue to study and practice modern dance. After many unanswered phone calls to instructors, a gentleman answered and told me that yes, he taught modern dance. It wasn’t until I got there that I learned that he meant “modern ballroom dance.” From that day forward I was hooked.

I have since worked in several larger ballroom dance studios and shared the joy of dancing with others. While my time spent was joyful and educational, I realized that I did not like the “large studio” mentality or selling dance lesson contracts, so I formed Two Left Feet. In 2006, I began teaching independently as Two Left Feet, LLC and vowed that I would not use or force contracts on people that simply wanted to learn and enjoy the experience of ballroom dance. The fun and joy of learning how to dance should be all it takes to keep you dancing!

I love the opportunity to help couples, whether it is with their journey down the wedding aisle, to feel comfortable dancing in front of others at a holiday party, a wedding, going on a cruise, a bar, or simply to enjoy spending time with one another. There is no better time than the present to begin your own journey to learning how much fun dancing can be and I would be honored to help you begin you journey, one step at a time! Come in anytime and talk to us! We love to discuss what musical training you've already had and your goals--whether they're to turn pro or just enjoy music for the rest of your life.

Paul Scholl

My dance experience began at a very young age, but my passion for dance did not bloom until my late teens/early twenties. I was never one of those “skinny minnies” dancing en pointe, but nothing makes me happier than when I am expressing myself on the dance floor. I was re-introduced to dance through my high school marching band color guard program (flags, rifles, sabres, & dance) and after graduating, pursued performing and competing nationally with The Phantom Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps. The experience changed my life.

One of the most important things to remember when selecting a dance instructor is to feel comfortable with the person you choose.
